会場:全日程、Zoom等によるメディア授業で実施。ご自宅からご参加いただけます。

備考:各自、メディア媒体の準備(PCからの参加を推奨します)、および、安定したインタ
    ーネット環境の確保をお願いします。
    上記日程の他、事前指導(オンライン、参加必須)を実施します。

International Careers Re-visited and Re-examined for Generation Z
講師:Shunsuke KURIHARA, Ph.D. 栗原 俊輔 氏
(宇都宮大学国際学部 准教授)

What is an international career for you? This three-day seminar is for all of us to learn from the Generation Z, our students! and try to find the common arena for all of us to work together in the international field. In this session, the students will be engaged and committed to show and expand their eager-to-learn attitude, while the lecturers will support the process with their expertise. Prior to the workgroup sessions, the students will be able to obtain and practice the practical ways of communication and learning style in a multi-cultural environment.

<プロフィール>
Kurihara Shunsuke earned a Master’s degree in International and Intercultural Management from the School for International Training, USA, and a PhD in International Development from Yokohama National University. His professional career in the international development field includes; Regional Planning and Program Development Advisor(2012-2014)and Rehabilitation & Development Advisor(2009-2011)in Sri Lanka, under the JICA Expert Scheme, and Project Director(2003-2008), Program Officer (2001-2008) in Sri Lanka and Project Coordinator(2000-2001)in East Timor, CARE International.

分科会A:Advising Foreign Exporters about the Japanese Market

This workgroup session aims to provide essential information on assisting foreign exporters in introducing their products to Japan. It is specifically tailored for individuals interested in pursuing careers within the international division of a trading company.

<プロフィール>
Dr. Ritter Diaz served for almost 20 years at the Embassy of Panama in Japan as a Commercial Counsellor(1999-2014)and Ambassador(2014-2019). After exiting the diplomatic service in 2019, he became an international consultant between Japan and Latin America. He has also worked for the largest bank of Panama, Banco General as well as Panasonic Latin America. He received a BA in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, a master's degree in International Political Economy from Tsukuba University and an Honorary Doctorate from Chiba University.

分科会B:Disaster Risk Reduction in the Era of Climate Change
講師:Takeshi KOMINO  小美野 剛 氏

This course explores an importance of disaster risk reduction in the era of climate change, and see critical skills required in assessing vulnerability and capacity to plan concrete measures for risk reduction, with specific project case study.

General Secretary of CWS Japan. Also serves as Chairperson and a member of Executive Committee for Asian Disaster Reduction and Response Network(ADRRN), joint secretariat of Japan CSO Coalition for DRR(JCC-DRR), and NGO unit steering group member at Japan Platform(JPF). He graduated from Doshisha University, and holds Development Studies M.A. from Brandeis University.

分科会C:Promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in International Humanitarian Assistance
講師:Motoko ODACHI, Ph.D. 尾立 素子 氏

In this course, students learn skills in promoting gender equality and social inclusion in the context of international humanitarian assistance through group discussion and gender and intersectional analysis exercises. The lecturer will also share her experience in humanitarian assistance work to help students to develop their international career plans.

<プロフィール>
Motoko Odachi presently works as a Program Officer for ADRA Japan. She has worked in the international cooperation sector for more than 25 years and managed humanitarian development assistance projects in countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Pakistan, and Ukraine. Her recent work involves gender mainstreaming and protection from sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment(PSEAH)in the international aid sector. She earned a Ph.D. in International Studies from Utsunomiya University, Japan. Her research interest is gender mainstreaming and social inclusion in the international aid sector.

分科会D:Understanding of the Labor Market from Gender Approach
講師:Li YAJIAO, Ph.D. 李 亜姣 氏

Why do occupational segregation and gender wage gaps exist? This course aims to deepen students’ understanding of the labor market through the analysis of gender gaps in the workplace from mainstream economics and feminist economics. Students will discuss what kinds of labor policies can promote gender equality.

<プロフィール>
Yajiao Li is an Assistant Professor in the School of International Studies, Utsunomiya University. Her research interests include gender and political economy, mainly in the Chinese context. She has been working on several projects examining women’s economic rights in developing countries, including how China’s capital accumulation cooperates with patriarchy in the land development and leads to economic disparity and gender gaps, and how middle-class women are involved in debt among the financialization in China.

分科会E:Making Mistakes in Language Learning: The First Step to an International Career
講師:Takayuki KIMURA, Ph.D. 木村 崇是 氏

This session aims to help participants overcome psychological barriers to communicating in a second language. Since the language(learning)backgrounds of the participants vary widely, I encourage them to engage in active discussions regarding their views on second language learning. By the end of this workshop, participants are expected to feel more confident and comfortable actively communicating in a second language.

<プロフィール>
Takayuki Kimura is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics and Second Language Research at Utsunomiya University, where he conducts research on the acquisition of second languages, with a particular focus on the grammatical properties that pose challenges to learners. He has presented his findings at more than thirty international conferences to date and is currently engaged in research collaborations with faculty members from universities in the United Kingdom, China, and the United States.

through hands-on activities comparing commercial and independent films. Develop your own film ideas and learn how trends, tech, and culture shape the journey from concept to screen. No experience needed ‒ just creativity!

<プロフィール>
John Cairns is a Tokyo-based creator whose work in film, commercials and interactive media spans genres and continents. He studied writing and film at the University of Iowa and the Sorbonne, and earned his MFA from Syracuse University. He has taught at Tokyo Film Center and led workshops at YouTube and Digital Hollywood. His independent films have screened at Fantasia and BIFAN, and he leads Lantis KK, a boutique creative studio.

宇都宮大学等で履修登録をしている学生はワークブックの提出が必要となります。

成績評価は、全日程への参加を条件として、出席状況(40%)およびワークブック(60%)とします。
